Commissioners Meeting Minutes 07/26/2005

Present: Chairman Donald T. Bates, Jr., Vice Chairman Danette Gonsalves, Clerk George Cavanaugh, Superintendent Craig Wiegand, Secretary Carol M. Connor

Meeting called to order at 8:15 AM by Chairman Bates.

Bill schedules signed as presented.

Minutes of 07/12/05 approved as written per motion by Danette Gonsalves. Motion seconded by George Cavanaugh. Unanimous vote to approve.

Superintendent Wiegand gave an update on Water Dept projects. Fontaine Medical and South Chatham Road mains will be done in the fall. Wells 5 & 6 will be converted to submersible pumps at that time as well. The new tank will be painted approximately mid-October, and is expected to be on line some time in November. Pumping is up to 4.5 million gallons per day now due to lack of rain and excess heat and humidity. Update on Munis billing is that we are supposedly going "live" next Friday.

8:30 AM - Ted Nelson and Scott Ridley with an update on the Summer Woods project. The next ZBA meeting is 08/09/05 and there is mention of closing the public input at that time. They presented a list of studies that have been requested but not yet acted on, or have some errors and incorrect information. The hydrological study and ENF need to be done. The ZBA has the authority to hold off on a decision until all the studies are done. The grid plan is in question as it shows 32 lots and this does not seem to be a possibility and should be reviewed. The land probably could justify up to 18 lots. The Water Dept will write another letter encouraging studies to be done and that discussions remain open.

Electrical bid will be readvertised and will go out for rebid. New bid will not need a bid bond or a bucket truck.

BOWC meeting on 07/26/05

Next meeting dates will be August 9th and August 23rd.

Meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM.
