Harwich Water & Wastewater Department

Meeting called to order at 8:15 AM by Chairman Bates.

Bill schedules signed as presented.

Abatements approved and signed for #811 and #1819.

Minutes of meeting of 12/14/04 approved per motion by Danette Gonsalves. Seconded by George Cavanaugh. Unanimous vote to approve.

Discussion regarding Planning Board regulations about installations of water mains. We could propose bylaw and have Planning Board submit it. Would be better to have them propose and submit our requirements.

George Cavanaugh made a motion to approve the recent bid of South Shore Generator in the amount of $107,850.00. Danette Gonsalves seconded the motion. Unanimous vote to approve.

We are still waiting for contracts from CC Construction for the water main installations. Work will not be starting until the spring.

Superintendent Wiegand is working on the annual town report entry. He will submit it to the Board for approval.

The Trails Committee has asked to put up trail signs on Water Department property where the trails cross out land. George Cavanaugh made a motion to approve this request. Danette Gonsalves seconded. Unanimous vote to approve.

The Board needs to set up a workshop to go over the goals, etc. for the next year. This can be done at the February meeting.

February meeting dates set for 02/01/05 and 02/15/05.
