When Harwich Water Department technicians are in your neighborhood to read water meters, here is what you should know:

Meter technicians drive official department vehicles, wear uniforms, and carry photo indentification.
Meter technicians read your meter from outside your property. They may enter your yard to access your reading device, but they will never enter your home unless we have requested your permission in advance.
Department employees will never request or collect payment for water bills at your residence.
