Vacancy Announcement - Treatment Operator

The Harwich Water Department is accepting applications for a Treatment Operator until November 7, 2006. Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self motivated and detailed oriented. Candidate must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license, a valid Massachusetts Drinking Water Treatment Certifications T-1. Incumbent must have experience in treatment chemical applications and treatment maintenance. Applicant must have at least five years experience in the treatment field. Upon request of Superintendent the candidate may be required to work in both the distribution system and treatment system. Candidate must live within a thirty minute response time of the Water Department's main complex on Chatham Road. Job entails working both inside and outside in different weather conditions. Candidate will be required to do some lifting. This is a union position where you will be required to join union within 30 days of hire.
