Job Posting - Comptroller Position

The Harwich Water Department is accepting applications for a Water Department Comptroller Position until noon on Thursday, October 6, 2005. Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be self motivated and detail oriented. Applicant must be proficient and experienced in standard accounting and auditing principles, particularly as they apply to local government in Massachusetts. Applicant must also be proficient and have experienced knowledge of State statutes and regulations pertaining to municipal accounting as well as knowledge of Town by-laws relating to municipal accounting matters. Applicant must have a minimum of a BS in accounting or finance with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible municipal accounting. Having a MBA or a CPA is preferable but not required. Experienced in having worked with MUNIS Utility Billing is also a plus. This is a part time position of 24 hours per week with benefits.
