Meeting called to order at 8:15 AM by Chairman Bates.

Bill schedules signed as presented.

Abatements signed for services #7860, #6444 and #854.

Minutes of 05/10/05 approved as written per motion by George Cavanaugh. Seconded by Danette Gonsalves. Unanimous vote to approve.

There will be an open meeting law discussion held at the Community Center on 06/15/05 at 6:30 PM for those interested in attending.

CC Construction change orders approved by BOWC as follows:

#1 - $ 5,563.25 - for valves, etc #2 - $ 14,053.00 - to include Fontaine Medical building

Ads for seasonal employees reviewed and approved by Board members.

Budget reviewed - approximately 23% left in this fiscal year.

Discussion regarding new service exploration. It was requested to use $10,500 to complete groundwater model project before new regulations are implemented with water management. George Cavanaugh made the motion to approve expenditure, and Danette Gonsalves seconded. Unanimous vote to approve.

Due to budgetary reasons, rather that a rate increase at this time we have decided to restructure the Department. By eliminating the Senior Administrative Assistant position we could save approximately $63,000 this year. We will discuss the Assistant Superintendent and Foreman positions as they become available. At that time we could eliminate one of those positions and possibly add 2 field positions.

There will be a water quality forum held on 06/24/05 at Otis ANG base. This meeting will include DEP, Water Departments, and State Representatives, per a letter received from Shirley Gomes.

The tree in memory of Anne Smith has been picked out per Danette Gonsalves. A stone with a plaque was also approved - cost approximately $100.00. George Cavanaugh made the motion to approve, and Danette seconded. Unanimous vote to approve.

Next meeting dates to be July 12th and July 26th.
