Meeting called to order at 8:17 AM by Chairman Bates.

Superintendent Wiegand updated the Board members on the mandatory water restrictions and problems which have been incurred. We have also had many learning experiences on how notifications should be done, setting irrigation systems, and agricultural requirements.

Bill schedules signed by Board members.

Service applications signed for:
1) 2 Federal Lane 1732 Route 39

Abatement for service #4354 signed by Board members.

Minutes of 06/25/2002. Mrs. Gonsalves made a motion to approve as written. Mr. Cavanaugh seconded the motion. Unanimous vote to approve.

A notice was received from the insurance company for Mirandais Excavating that the company coverage expires on July 17th. To remain on the list of installers for water services this coverage is mandatory. Mrs. Gonsalves made a motion to remove Mirandais Excavating from the active list of installers due to lack of insurance coverage. Mr. Cavanaugh seconded the motion. Unanimous vote to approve.

Superintendentis report given by Mr. Wiegand.

Employee evaluations need to be reviewed by the Commissioners. Mr. Wiegand will provide copies which can be discussed further. Superintendent Wiegand complemented the department staff on the jobs they are doing.

Mr. Cavanaugh has received a letter from Senator O'Leary congratulating him on his appointment to the Board of Water Commissioners.

There was a discussion on the Board taking a complete tour of the facility to familiarize themselves with all the functions. This will be set up on a convenient afternoon next week.

The Board also discussed collections and arrears. The new billing schedule is now in place and collections can be more readily undertaken by staff per Mr. Wiegand.
