Present: Chairman Donald Bates, Vice Chairman Danette Gonsalves, Clerk George Cavanaugh, Superintendent Craig Wiegand, Secretary Carol Connor

Meeting called to order at 8:00 AM by Chairman Bates.

The reason for this meeting is to discuss water restrictions per Mr. Wiegand. Highway Surveyor Joseph Letieri present to discuss town managed properties. He feels there will be no problem with Exchange Park or Town Hall. He explained that the irrigation system at Whitehouse Field goes on between 11 PM to 4AM for 40 minutes each zone every night. The field is used by many people in the town and he feels it should be exempt from the water restrictions. Mr. Wiegand suggested that the Selectmen set aside money to install a well to take care of the field as over a million gallons were used there last year. Danette Gonsalves made a motion to approve a waiver for 1 year to water Whitehouse Field and to strongly encourage the Selectmen to have a well installed by next year as this waiver may not be granted again. Seconded by Donald Bates. The vote was unanimous to approve the motion.

Discussion re: other fields - the Board would like the school talked to again regarding watering limits.

Mrs. Gonsalves made a motion to approve the minutes of 5/28/02. Seconded by Mr. Cavanaugh. Unanimous vote to approve.

Next meeting will be June 18, 2002 at 8:15 AM.
