March 05, 2002
Members Present: Chairman Donald T. Bates, Clerk Danette Gonsalves,
Superintendent Craig Wiegand, Secretary Carol M. Connor
Absent: Vice Chairman Gary Sinclair
Chairman Bates called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
Bill schedules were reviewed and signed.
Service applications were signed for:
58 Pleasant Bay Road
101 Headwaters Drive
The minutes of the 02/29/02 meeting were reviewed. Mrs. Gonsalves
made a motion to approve. Mr. Bates seconded. The vote was unanimous
to approve the minutes as written.
The proposed changes to the Rules and Regulations are not quite
completed and ready for discussion per Mr. Wiegand. The discussion
was tabled to the meeting scheduled for 03/19/02.
The Board asked if the resignation of William Eldredge was finalized.
Per Mr. Wiegand, it has been and Mr. Eldredge would need to reapply
the same as any other applicant if he decided he wanted to return
to a position with the Department.
The use of irrigation systems and overall water consumption were
discussed. Mr. Wiegand is working on possibly having some local
landscapers plant a zero tolerance landscape as a model for homeowners.
He should be able to provide further information later this month
on a possible location and when this will be occurring.
DEP packets for the possible future well protection sites were
reviewed and discussed for the upcoming meeting on Tuesday, March
12, 2002. This is the land acquisition that the Department would
like to obtain through the use of grant money if the funds can
be obtained from the state.
Miranda's Excavating submitted an application to be placed back
on the service installers list. He agreed to adhere by all the
requirements including submitting tie sheets and proper notification
of proposed work. No insurance verification has been received yet.
The superintendent's report was given by Mr. Wiegand.
Meeting adjourned at 6:30 PM.
